    I agree with Heef's opening post on this. I think he could have been much better than the few performances we have seen him, but you need exposure to enable you to find your feet and for that you need playing minutes, which he didn't get. I think that if he signed with an Aussie team like the Force or Rebels at first he would have done much better as he would have got more game time and he probably would have shone in teams like those, which would also boost his confidence etc. Reckon he left prematurely without giving it a proper go, which is sad.

    Mat Rogers was quite a success and was smaller.

    I'd love to see Greg Inglis swap over. He's better than Folau at every aspect of league so would destroy in Onion.

    I'd also love to see Hodges running wide. He'd break the line every time, and his defence wouldn't look bad in Union.

    You know what I think that might happen.

    He's done everything in league already and he's only 26 or so.

    It'd be a fucking coup for the ARU he'd have the potential to be an all time great at outside centre or on the wing.

    Plus Mat Rogers went there as a genuine winger and played much further in field in Union.

    Sorry, I'm going for 3 posts in a row, BUT

    This is obviously because they haven't signed any big name halves. ARU tried desperately in the early 2000s to sign a couple of league superstars and almost did from several reports.

    Since then they've signed mainly outside backs and several fringe first graders in league have breezed through Super Rugby into international selection in no time.

    BM was put in way too technical position to early.
    He wasn't given a fair chance.


    SBW was playing in much easier positions and was bled in France away from the rugby public. Played both club and NPC and he still ain't that good. I really hope we don't need him for the RWC as I think he's the sort of knuckle head that would get yellow/red carded in an important game and cost us the title.
