    Even worse(or better depending on which way you want to look at it) he was rated the best midfielder in Europe.

    However it's been blown massively out of proportion because it was from a Fantasy Football website.

    Doesn't do enough week-in, week-out, basically. His form compared to guys like Luongo, Bozanic, Nichols and Troisi always looks more patchy, especially when his team isn't controlling the game. He's probably the most technically gifted of the bunch, and his set-pieces are also fantastic, but he's also the worst of the lot defensively, and the least flexible in terms of playing other positions. He's specialised himself into a role that we only really consider playing Bresciano in, and he's not in the same class. If he added just one more facet to his play, he'd be much more likely to be considered more seriously IMO.

    This.

    He's basically just pretty lazy and has a tendency to switch off during matches and really struggles to get back in to it.
