    Yeah I like it. I didn't really get why a virus prompted it but we should keep it for sure.

    Not a fan of the scrum rule change or the captain's challenge though. Scrums are totally OP now. If your opposition knocks it on inside their 30 you're better off deliberately knocking it on as well rather diving on it and "taking your advantage".

    Not sure what OP means but I think I agree.

    The mid-field scrum is ridiculous, there's nothing entertaining about the two tries that were scored off them tonight, 1 by each side. Its not good attacking football, it's just too easy.

    Yeh the 6 again introduction has been great. It'll be interesting to see how sides adapt next year with a full off-season to prepare.

    Not only sped up the game but just feels like so much more genuine footy cramed into 80mins than before even though statistically its only fractionally more minutes of ball in play.

    I still think some referees are much better at it than others though... definitely need to get them all on the same page.

    Captains challenge is good, but bring it in for try scoring plays only, and give teams 1 per half. Ref not allowed to send it upstairs, has to just make a decision. Also keep it like cricket, if there is no conclusive evidence to show the call was wrong, they keep the challenge.

    I love the captains challenge purely because I’ve loved the shithousery from refs this year asking all the whinging players... “You wanna challenge that?” Everyone shuts up real quick.

    Other than that it seems really counter-productive to the other rules that have been brought in with intention of reducing the number of stoppages.

    This is the worst possible idea IMO.

    Players having to be referees just really rubs me the wrong way in general. Having the game decided based on whether or not you reviewed well just isn't something I want to see at all. It's not a skill we should rewarding or punishing in this way. This idea would both increase the number of bad decisions and make players' refereeing skills more important - the worst of both worlds.

    I'd just get rid of it and go back to the bunker situation we had for the first two rounds.

    Like DRS it was supposed to remove the ''howler'' but has created further problems instead. The bunker ironically makes howlers for decisions anyway so it undermines the original intent of the review. Their inconsistent interpretations of the obstruction rule and application is probably their worst.

    Was the bunker really any improvement on the old video ref system? Or was it basically the same, just that the bunker was set up somewhere away from the game so they had no idea the scores etc?

    You aren't asking them to ref the game. It's up to the players to challenge any howlers, and get the refs making a live decision.

    No it's fucking not, IMO. It's up to them to play well. Having their ability to identify good and bad refereeing decisions determine the outcome triggers me greatly.
