    yeah but giving it to him can cause him to step up a gear and lead from the front. what does giving it to dce achieve? he will be 'captain' when scott is off the field. friend won't get it surely, it would be his first game and i bet they'll pick mccullough regardless.

    Yep that's pretty much the best we can do at this stage. To say we've lost 5 legends over the last 18 months, that's still a competitive side.

    The right edge is gonna concede a lot of points though, with or without Latrell, but especially with him there.

    It’s weird that none of you have given any explanation as to why he can’t be picked. I didn’t say he’s Origin standard but if it’s a choice between he and Lee or Gagai’s club form, yeah I know who I’d be picking.

    I was talking to Gemmell and Julian on FB in the pre-season about that trend, and Welch was actually put forward as the next shit cunt who will get a huge contract on the back of looking good at Melbourne, and then let his true shitness shine though.

    He did have a genuinely great game last week though; it wasn't just opportunism picking up those stats. Probably the first time I've been genuinely impressed with him tbf but it wasn't just coattail riding.
