I reckon Horsburgh would be playing game 3 if not for his recent injury.

I think you're just at cross purposes a bit with your terminology. I think MF just means pick anyone else who's at least first grade standard by "blooding", rather than the perhaps more traditional meaning that suggests picking a young bloke for the future. Bolton and Bukuya who you mentioned would be blooded by his definition just because they're on debut.

It's 1-1. You pick the side to win this game and fuck everything else. I'm sure he agrees. He just thinks they need debutants in the forwards because some of the cunts they've picked recently have been worse than you'd expect the average good first grader to be.

    Of course you do. lol

Yeah by blooding I mean picking a debutant, whether they’re young or relatively older. Blooding has a connotation with youth because you can’t blood someone with experience, by definition, and thus most inexperienced players tend to be young blokes.

But yeah I’m all for Bukuya. Not sure I’d pick Bolton. We have to roll the dice though. Qld winning game 1 papered over, to borrow SP’s phrase, just how dominant NSW’s forward’s were for 50 minutes. Qld have had ascendency in the middle for about 30 out of 160 minutes of footy, if that.

I can see the potential for a major fuck up in replacing Cleary by going with Graham or WIghton.

  6. AVA T Delonge

Yeah 100%. Unless you're completely dominant only having one real ball playing option just makes the attack so predictable and easy to shut down

Yeah it's one thing doing that mid-game after an injury with a 12 point lead and your attack still working, but it's another thing giving the opposition coach a full camp period to plan against it. Wighton I could perhaps cop but Graham would be a huge mistake.

I still can’t get over Opacic even being mentioned. I’d move Munster to centre and pick a new 6 before I picked him. Opacic has a rare ability of offering nothing in attack and the threat of having a defensive night so bad he should be hooked. It’s a rare talent

I wasn't really serious about picking him, just using him to point out how little I care for Chambers. To be honest, he seems like he's been getting better throughout the year, and looking at his stats, he's only missed 3 tackles in the last 5 rounds.

If I’m picking the team I think it’s Fifita/Morgan in the centres.

Sos Gavin cooper. Old boys club

If Matt Elliot was right about two fullbacks all this time maybe he was right to alternate Gav between centre and prop.

    AVA likes this.

I'm keen to see how Xavier Coates develops over the next few years. Looks like a star in the making.

Sims ruled out of game 3.

Cleary apparently going to be named in the side and given every chance to play. Why!!!!

  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Ponga ruled out.

And that’s the series...not that we were much of a chance. Fuck me the injuries this year have killed us...

  17. Alec AD Funkotron

Who comes in? I gonna guess Morgan will go to fullback, Gagai goes into the centres and Feldt(?) onto the wing?

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Thompson ftw. lol

  19. Wilson SB Wilson

Ooooft, now you’re speaking my language.

  20. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah I can't see it being anything other than this, especially since Morgan has spent a few games at 1 already for the Cows and hasn't had a great series at centre anyway.

The other fullback options are Brimson, Thompson, Mann, Milford and Mbye. Massive downgrades IMO. Moving Gagai to centre is something Queensland should try really hard to avoid but I don't think they've got the players to avoid it this time.
