Wallace and Glasby need to go. They’re just not up to Origin football. We might as well just blood cunts until we find the 1 in 5 rookies who is.

  2. Magic AJ Parker

Lack of ability. He's just not a natural ball player as much as he's continued to grow in that area.

  3. Magic AJ Parker

What type of player is that? Ineffective?

Ofa should be sweet come game 3.

    Who else is there though?
    Bolton
    Molo
Jensen looked like a good prospect, but NFI what happened to him.

  5. Alec AD Funkotron

Welch, I guess. He hasn't had a chance to fail yet.
There are some promising forwards coming through, but they are still a few years off. Not much we can do, other than hope we are injury free for the next couple of years.

Who is there to blood though? Change just for the sake of change won't fix anything.

Would be a good start if they asked the Broncos to start recruiting some Qld talent instead of producing more New South Welshmen.

Broncos are just stealing Polys from the Warriors and Sydney.

Isn’t the next team picked at the end of this round?

  9. Wilson SB Wilson

Two try Samoan superstar Jayson Bukuya

    Cribbage likes this.

Yesssssss my suggestion picks up steam

    What a fatuously stupid comment.

Shuffle those chairs on the titanic.

    Ya fuckin wot mate?

The only way you can make that comment, assuming you understand it, is if you think there are literally no other Qld players, currently not in the squad, capable of doing better than Wallace. That is wrong almost by sheer probability, given just how bad Wallace has played in Origin.

  15. Magic AJ Parker

    Shuffle shuffle shuffle

    lol good counter-argument.

Probably what I'd say too if i'd spent years advocating a bloke who couldn't cut the mustard.

Shuffling chairs on the deck means doing something which has no potential to prevent an impending disaster. No potential upside to doing it. The idea that dropping Wallace for, say, Bukuya or Sims or Welch or Bolton has no potential upside is just silly. Embarrassingly so. None of them are likely to make more than 45m and not give away stupid penalties or drop the ball? Fuck me you think pretty lowly of them.

He's actually been pretty solid. I'm just sick of seeing Chambers play like shit for at least the past 5 games now.

Chambers is a weird one. Years ago I criticised him for being shit and then he came back to league, made it to Origin and spent several games on the wing and a couple at centre proving me completely wrong. Now he’s spent the last two series proving me right lol.

He’s been fucking woeful since 2017.

'Blooding' players in a series that's locked at 1-1 is a bit stupid for mine. Queensland won the first game, with a raft of bombed tries in the first half, it could easily have been a comfortable 18~ point win.

NSW shouldn't be over rated, sure Maloney looked to make a difference, but your kicking game is going to look good when you've got 60% possesion and up against a team giving away 5-6 penalties in a row at a time.

When the game was in the balance, Maloney couldn't even throw a cut out pass backwards and later had a classic Maloney moment where he gave away a dumb penalty then kicked on the first 60 seconds later. The game was gone at that point but he's not beyond doing those things when its crunch time, that attempted kick behind Oates showed a complete lack of vision.

NSW still don't really have their forward rotations right, the problem was papered over by just how poor Queenslands discipline was. Add to that they might throw Pearce in if Cleary is out, which will totally change the dynamic of Maloney steering the ship and it's not beyond the realm of possibility that NSW shit themselves, they've done it time and again.

I'd be inclined to throw jerseys to Bolton and Bukuya in place of Wallace and Glasby. I reckon the pair of them would grow an extra leg at this stage of their careers if given a crack. I think the axe needs to fall on Chambers too but not really sure who comes in there.
