I'm probably being overly pessimistic but yeah. There's such a massive gap between Klemmer and the next best prop, even assuming Fittler doesn't do something retarded, and we're 1-0 down with the next two games in Perth and Brisbane. Can't see us winning from here.

Game 3 is in Sydney :hughesy:

Haha I have no idea how I managed to think for a minute that there were two games in Brisbane, total Hughesy moment

If Mitchell is still there which he will be I think you'd almost have to pick Keary now if he's available. Sounds ridiculous picking someone as small as Keary for defence but at least they've defended together and he's done surprisingly well for his size since going to the roosters, and the other options are hardly better in attack than he is. Maloney's too likely to do a repeat of Walker.

    I wouldn't complain at
    6. Keary
    14. Walker

Not sure why the halves' defence is even being mentioned. It's a necessary liability. Mitchell, Morris and Addo-Carr's is not. There's no point even mentioning the defence of your half if you're going to pick centres and wingers who defend like this:

The left edge (including Cordner who defended poorly) were either out of position or made poor reads, or made poor contact all night long. You can't alleviate that by picking a half with better defence. Most of the breaks weren't even made through or caused by Walker. It was Mitchell out of position and Addo-Carr for some reason standing in his pocket all night.

Yes but they will pick Mitchell so.. and if Keary does cover him which he knows how to do then he is worth picking as his liability is now minimised. You will regularly see Mitchell out of place in Roosters games but it doesn't result in anything because they cover him. Keary is high iq reads the situation well and reacts quickly to get another body across, Walker just did his part and nothing more.

Just pick the best half for their attacking ability, kicking game, organisation on their edge, game management etc.

Fittler needs to rethink their approach of up and in style to stifle DCE/Ponga/Chambers. It worked a few times. It didn't work a hell of a lot more.

Keary not even an option. Out for 6 weeks.

There you go. Just pick Maloney. He’s got runs on the board, he’s got sorely needed big game experience and if Cleary is there they already play together.

It’s all moot anyway. Pearce is a certainty imo.

    All amazing decisions

    6. Wighton
    7. Pearce
    14. Walker

    No brainer :)

lol at Fittler having a cry about Hunt throwing Cordner’s boot. Is that the first time you’ve seen it happen in 40 odd years, Freddy? fmd...

I thought he just got a concussion?

Turpin for Origin. He's already better than McCullough.

lol at Milford scoring when it's too late...

With Klemmer out I think you just have to go for mobility and skill around the middle and really expose what has been a very vulnerable middle third for QLD in Defence over the past 2 series.

I'd shift Trbojevic to the middle, start Murray and bring in Radley to the bench.

I would bring in Finucane to the prop rotation on the bench. I wouldn't keep Haas but he will be there so is what it is. He is better than Lodge who they'd probably end up picking anyway.

They just have to get rid of Wighton. He offers zero impact around the middle.

    Who comes in for Ofa?
Wallace has made 200 metres for at least 3 matches in a row, but he's been the Pearce of forwards for QLD.
Glasby is alright for Newcastle, but was shit for QLD too.
Welch has been good for Melbourne, and hasn't failed in Origin yet.
