I honestly dont care. I think Easts are far and away the better team and yes, Canberra bombed the one other try they constructed (that isnt a credit to Easts' defence btw).

But man its a bitter pill to swallow for their fans.

Mind you Melbourne were ripped off even worse last week so meh. A stack of crucial calls went Easts' way in that game.

I just find it hilarious that Cummins, the bloke who Roosters fans bitched about for being biased against them, ended up helping them in the end.

 

Nobody seems to have notice it but the Keary kick which Sezer deflected and then bounced off CNK was not the last touch. Cordner was 1m over the dead ball line and touched it. Ball is still in play.

 

I know you need me to care sweetheart, lol, but i just don't. I won my $1100. Couldnt care if a fucking jumbo jet hit the stadium after half time. Just calling it as i (and everyone except you Chookies) see it.

I actually think Cummins has fucked both over because youre on here having to argue it was a deserved win when you really shouldnt have to. Enjoy it. Easts were the best team all year.

Easts wouldve won anyway in my honest opinion. As Gould and others have said, Canberra couldnt break the defensive line to create a genuine chance. You have to come up with more than one Jack Wighton sidestep try if youre gonna deserve that trophy. Leilua butchered their best chance and thats on them.

I sat there waiting and waiting for the Easts' break that i knew was coming and would turn the tide. Radley to SST was the one i thought would do it but Keary mucked that up. Only a matter of time before it happened again. Canberra couldnt do the same and finish it off.

Simple as that.

 

Robinson should probably get a statue at this rate. First coach since Churchill to win 3 comps in 7 years. Wonder what'll happen post-Cronk...

 

Im still blown away by how well Canberra played in the middle, especially in the second half. So much belief. They dominated like ive never seen anyone dominate Easts this year.

It really was one of the most enjoyable GF's ive watched for a long time. Defence based, attrition based footy. Quality.

Ill tell you whats interesting...as a former ref i know if the referee accidentally blows the whistle its a neutral infringement. I think you could make a case for that being very similar to what happened even if he didnt blow the whistle.

If youre gonna have a neutral infringement for the Rooster's trainer earlier in the match I wouldnt have been against it for this situation as well tbh.

If that happens youd think they kick the 1 point. I certainly dont think if Wighton knew it was last and kicked it they wouldve scored but who really knows? Maybe a repeat set.

The outrage is a bit over the top on social media. I mean wasnt it the Raiders who got a favourable call when Vunivalu caught the kick-off and was ruled into touch when he clearly wasnt?

Ah RL......truly the craziest game of all.

 

True dat. And Canberra is a very likeable mob, apart from maybe Stuart.

Ben Cummins the worst ref by far. Tarnished what was a good grand final game.
