    That was literally Hall's first game back from an ACL injury, he didn't even play a reserve grade game. Mitchell clearly still hampered by whatever the fuck he injured.

    Manu was definitely clutching at his hamstring a few times. Not sure how Hall would go on either side because his main ability is using his bulk to crash over the line.. Manu's main ability is his flick providing a skinny touch line for the winger to dive over and Mitchell does similar and is already a big body for the crash attempt. Hall isn't very agile at all, he's too big.

    Random points on the game

    - found it very entertaining. Always best when Voss is in the box.
    - it’s interesting how injuries can unearth better players. Turpin looks better than McCullough and Brisbane is better with an actual halfback over Nikorima even though he’s not ready.
    - I couldn’t tip Brisbane but deadset the advantage they had in this game is ridiculous. 2 extra days to stay in their own city while Easts play Sunday arv and travel twice in 5 days to play Friday night. With no mid week games and a pretty simple 26 week draw that’s a bit ridiculous.
    - Brisbane’s best game but don’t take it too far. Easts played with 14 players for 60 mins last week. They looked tired and fair enough.
    - Latrell was horrible. He’s a gun but fuck he looks hemmed in at left centre in these sorts of games. It’s all left to right so struggles to inject rucking out or in field like Leilua does. That’s fine at rep level, but probably not club if he ends up paid 800k plus.
    - Collins looks the goods but mistakes galore.
    - Easts need to find a serviceable hooker. Radley is ok but all of a sudden a strength gets weakened and that hurts.
    - I think it’s all too late for Ryan Hall. Sure he’ll score some tries on the end of the best team in the comp and he’s off an acl. But fuck that looked bad tonight.
    - Deardon must be related to Voss. Loves the cunt.

    Not NRL but who cares, just won a couple grand on St Helens. 16-0 up after 13 minutes. Salford came back to lead 30-16. Saints came home with a wet sail and scored next to the posts with 2 minutes to go to make it 32-30. Blatant knock on in the process of scoring but it's ESL apparently knock-on's don't exist. Or tackling for that matter...

    Lachlan Coote is the only player I've seen who can score three tries and still play horrifically. Not sure I like a competition in which Robert Lui is a "star player."

    I thought Hall was okay first game back. His errors you can put down mostly to severe rust. Running the ball he actually looked okay to me. I don't see how he ever plays FG ahead of the other three though.

    I did tell a mate who supports Manly at the start of the year he’ll be surprised at how Hasler’s side goes this year but even I’m amazed by how good they’ve been. Solid fucking team even without some big names.

    At full strength they could be top 4.
