I agree to an extent but it's no the defender's responsibility to try and get around an attacking player who has just blatantly stopped in the line. I mean I didn't see the decoy making an effort either, he just stood there also.

Melbourne do it so often it's basically a tactic, I've got no issues with that being penalised.

 

Geez Cam Smith must be insufferable for refs. So blatantly was never going for the ball there.

 

Geez the Dogs have been impressive given the clear gulf in class.

This last 20 minutes of back and forth has been so intense, feel for the Dogs there's been 3 absolute criminal forward passes out of dummy half from the Storm that even if 1 of them was called could've really changed the complexion of the game.

As I type this Munster goes over after the first error you can remember in the last 20.

Agreed it wasn't a high tackle but he was late. I'm not sure when it became acceptable to hit a player after the ball has left their hands. He was never ever getting to him in time.

I'd love to see what the percentage is for field goal attempts after being charged down. It must be something that plays on your mind. You could see Pearce looking for contact, didn't have his head down over the ball and hooked it as a result.
