lol you’d like that wouldn’t you, ya cunt :p

Haha I don't think you'd lose all that much if it was Slater or Boyd out in all honesty - they're both good fullbacks and both Holmes and Oates are gun left wing replacements should Boyd be out of filling in at the back. I'd love to see them both out though. :p

(and yeah, Inglis out again would be nice. Sizeable downgrade to the other left centre options IMO).

Left wing pecking order is Goates>Holmes>Boyd

It's disgusting how Goates is being treated, he is the best left winger in the world.

Oates only signed a one deal extension with the Broncs, he's not going to keep being a winger - he'll either leave or get moved into the forwards in 2019 at the latest here IMO. Pretty sure Walters said he doesn't consider Oates a winger either, he probably knows too. Also as much as he's great at those early charges, and as good a finisher as he can be, his hands are like a 50/50 chance of dropping the ball....and like 80% chance of dropping if the ball is bouncing towards him and he has to bend over.

I wouldn't be picking either Boyd or Oates in Origin at this stage. Boyd has been surpassed by a number of players on the wing by now, and Slater just leaves him for dead at fullback too.

Care to name these players who’ve surpassed Boyd on the wing? Remembering of course that the cunt hasn’t played there for QLD in two years.

Holmes and Gagai offer more than Boyd nowadays especially when NSW can dominate the metres gained per set and simply being reliable isn't enough.

Gagai has a mortgage on the right wing.

On the left I'd pick Holmes>Boyd>Oates.

I'd only pick Boyd in the side if there was an injury to Slater or Holmes.

    You cunts are kidding.

  9. Tartmaster AJ James

Nah Holmes & Gagai > Boyd on the wing.
    Slater > Boyd at fullback.

I'd be leaving Boyd out unless there's an injury

Don’t get all the Boyd dislike. He’s been a fucking great winger for QLD. He’s not as flashy or freakish as Holmes but he’s far more reliable. I guess it’s just my nature to value reliability and defence, kick defusal, positioning a bit more than others.

I can’t see any reason to split the Boyd/Inglis combination. I like Valentine but its not like he’s Israel Folau.

it's not like there's that much difference between them, i'd probably still pick boyd for the first game and if his lack of an impact was evident i'd replace him.

in other news Cronk is gone. i still get the feeling Thurston might play, moreso if they lose game 1.

  12. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I'd say QLD will have to pick Morgan at 7, and run with Milford/Munster/Hunt in the 6/14

  13. Magic AJ Parker

That probably makes Cam Smith's announcement on his rep future a little easier.

  14. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Cronk going is fucked. We’re in deep shit now. Especially if Slater or Smith go too.

  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Slater wouldn't really make that big a difference. If Smith goes, QLD are fucked.

  16. Toolman TR Man

Slater just said he'll play origin in 2018 for his last series.

  17. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Slater
    Boyd/Goates/Holmes
    Chambers
    Inglis
    Gagai
    Milford
    Morgan

    Munster on the pine.

First time in 10 years both of the QLD halves will be heavily debated.

    Milford is an absurd selection.

  19. Alec AD Funkotron

Glad Slater is playing again. Reckon he's more valuable than Cronk.

If Milf finally starts consistently playing to his potential, I don't see why he couldn't be there. He's got a shitload of talent.
