Tedesco is a machine but the cunt just doesn’t pass.

Has Tedesco played much on the wing? He'd be better suited there than Trbo.

Nah pretty much none. He played some centre for Italy a few World Cups ago and he was good at that, but no wing that I can recall at all. I agree that his skillset would make him more suited but I worry about his inexperience there in terms of decision-making in defence. It's one of those situations where if Origin was a 26-round competition you'd absolutely pick him on the wing and get him learning on the job, but you can't afford that with only three games, especially since he'll obviously go back to clubland and play fullback again.

If we had better wingers I'd absolutely just pick TomT at fullback, but we don't. I'd pick him on the right wing and give him a bit of a free reign in attack when the play is going left, a bit like how Holmes is used for the Sharks sometimes.

Just put Fergo on the wing. He did well up against Goates last night.

What an absolute joke if NSW pick Fifita.

Just heard Freddie on radio, he said he no longer had a line through Fifita. Will still consider him, and think about it over the next few weeks.

It's insane he can play game 1, change to Tonga, then change back to Aus for game 3.

You can tell he doesn’t want to pick him because he turned his back on NSW. He should be red penned immediately. The idea that he can play games 1 and 3 but not 2 because he’ll play for Tonga is just laughable.

How can you change the culture by picking dickheads like him? Some cunt who cries about a bit of sledging and walks away from his state...

Not to mention him standing up to Daley when he wanted him off the bench in game 3.

I would have out a line through him then.

Word is Boyd has been left out for Game 1 in favour of Holmes. I’d be surprised if it didn’t have something to do with Smith’s retirement and thus the need for a goal kicker.

Articles like that are why statistics get such a bad name in mainstream.

Missed tackles per breaks caused. WTF even is that shit.

If you concede 7 line breaks you are not better at defending than another player who also conceded 7 linebreaks because you've missed more tackles. That's some real whacked logic.

Sultan Pepper and Cribbage like this.

Haha yeah there was a reasonable analysis somewhere in there but it was buried below many layers of propaganda. Even by their "line breaks conceded" metric, Maloney was still the worst (equal with Cronk). We're dealing with such small numbers that it'd really be better to look at more than 12 games too.

But yeah the actual stat they showed (misses per break) is completely useless.

The more I look at the two potential teams on paper, the more confident I’m becoming. I still think we’re on the back foot but 2.40-2.60 is overs for Qld imo. There are going to be so many rookies in the Blues side.

McGuire named on extended bench for Broncos tonight. May or may not play but that means he'll definitely be fit for Origin. Huge plus for us.

you know your team is shit when you think mcguire is a huge plus

  19. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Absolutely. I'd be scratchong him, Ferg, Dugan and Hayne for good.

He’s averaging more metres a game than every middle third forward we have apart from Arrow who’s never played Origin. The fuck you on about? In case you haven’t noticed, we’re pretty light on in middle third forwards.
