    Also in other news Ambrose Curtis has been acquired by Manawatu on loan for Tudreu's injury. Not sure if happy or sad. The bright side is he's outta the Welly squad :p maybe he'll step up here.

    North Harbour were utterly atrocious though. There was one spell where they went through about a dozen phases, but lost territory. And that was about the only time where they had the ball for more than about a minute without losing the ball forward.

    Reckon the Heartlands teams would have given them a run for their money on that performance.

    Yeah you'd suspect that they'll come last. No cohesion whatsoever. Also Harbour fans complaining about the yellow? Like seriously, you should be asking for your time back. I do think it was justified however.

    Also can someone confirm that Fifita is still contracted to the Canes for next year? He's really stepping up and looking solid. Should get more game time next season for the Canes you'd have to think. His ability to play lock will be handy.

    Was at the game. Manawatu were fucking poor. Good crowd (we were made to sit in front of the cameras haha- since it's GA) for skysport purposes lol i.e make the crowd look big for tv.

    Better 2nd half and Emery's try was awesome but fuck me they were dire in the 1st.

    Rugby News don't even bother with an NPC edition any more. Such a shame, because it clearly still is really popular in the provinces without regular access to Super Rugby.

    Bah. King Country lost to Buller. Looks like Horowhenua gave Wanganui a good run for their money though. Just hoping someone other than South Canterbury win this season.

    My gripes on the reffing continue......saw this last night and I have nfi how the touchy (at least) didn't see this.....

    That was a fucking joke. Worst game I have ever seen from a team. Ref was shit, away town advantage but it would have made fuck all difference. The amount of shit he misses was ridiculous.

    I deserve a fucking refund because Manawatu didn't play rugby

    Bollocks Rego, we all know that referees can only benefit the home team.

    There seems to be a lot more thrashings this season. Might suggest that we're starting to hit the bottom in terms of the depth in the NZ rugby system.

    Honestly a Heartland team would play better than Manawatu tonight. Cantab players going through 7 players. Manawatu tackled nothing and made the most simple errors (worst kicks, dropped balls, lost basically every lineout). The ref didn't help but it really made no difference. The crowd started leaving and even booed their own team. At the end of the day I obviously support Wellington fully before them but I would at least like Manawatu to play a decent display..
