Taranaki absolutely blitzed it. Stunning performance. Soo many players stepped up, Broadhurst, (pretty much the whole pack), McKenzie had a blinder too.

McKenzie was good. Apart from 10-15 minutes at the start of the 2nd half, Waikato were awful again though.

    Waikato are overrated imo

What a fucking shield game. HB looked like the 11 point lead wasn't going to be enough in the second but eventually held on.

Fuck off Canterbury, no shield for you. :D

NZRU should just relegate Wellington now tbh.....

Up by 24 points and you lose it.....absolutely terrible 2nd half.

I wish we had've had a tipping comp even just with three peeps. I just havn't had the motivation to follow this - was into it at the start but have had busy weekends.

Ha. You shouldn't need motivating to see it, mate ;)

Most of the matches I've seen so far have been enthralling in one way or the other. Just don't waste your time with Wellington games.

I would have been extremely motivated to watch - you and BourBrumby are top tippes and I wouldn't have wanted the wooden spoon.

Still I am looking forward to tonights international games. More so to the 2nd game on the card.

Anyone been paying attention to the heartland champs this year?

  10. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Yep. King Country are very up and down. A decent last minute away win at North Otago on the weekend just gone. Mid table obscurity looks likely. Wanganui have gone right off the boil. The South Island are dominating the Heartlands with Buller up top after a win against South Canterbury in 3rd on the weekend. Mid Canterbury in 2nd.

At least, that's what I recall.

    I think King Country are 2 - 2 after 4.

I've still been watching a lot of the NPC this year, but there's just not enough chat on here anymore sadly. I've quite enjoyed watching Tasman this year, but how they bounce back from gifting Taranaki the game on the weekend I don't know (Tasman were 6 points up, the final whistle went and they had a penalty... but played on, turned over and Taranaki scored a breakaway try nailed the conversion and bagged the win.)

  12. Roaddogg AJ Izett

    Yeah 2-2 sounds about right.

Midtable is better than bottom of the table like they have been the last few years

Well I told you my reason - as soon as we lost that tipping comp I stopped watching.

I did watch all of the waikato counties fixture so can make some comments about that if you saw that game.

What I have heard around the traps is that Bryn Gatland is running the show for Mooloo under 19s and is looking the business. We also have cam skelton brother of Will coming off the bench.

    The motherfkr is 142kgs

I've watched this religiously. I've seen most games, bet on most too. I go over to TRF to talk about it though as there's a few others who are also keen watchers.

Absolutely loving Tasman and Naki this year. Basically supporting them now Welly has become unsupportable.

Ripia, playing for Welly now. Finally a somewhat decent 10.

Off to the game tomorrow (Manawatu vs Southland) ---> free tickets ftw. I guess I'll support Manawatu. Hopefully a good game.

another close win for the rams

Hopefully thats some good signs for them

  18. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Sounds like a really poor game though, but a scrappy win is one I'm happy to take.

  19. Rego RS Hutchinson

    Well Southland played shit.

I wonder if Wellington could beat a Heartland team at this rate.
