he should get at least 1 , Stokes was good to, could sneak in

  3. Skippos SM Morgan

    Who is 'he'?

yeah I was tempted to bring stokes in. didn't like stevie j's game too much tonight but the umps sometimes favour quantity over quality.

  4. Mousey AJ Son

I wouldn't have had Bartel in there either. I haven't seen the stats but it looked to me that Selwood was easily best on, followed by Stokes and then Guthrie or someone. Not a proven polled though, so can understand Johnson (who I reckon would've had it 35 times) even though he turned it over a heap.

  5. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

Sam Lloyd gets the 1 vote over Jesse White imo

  6. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah 37 touches tonnes of marks and like 8 tackles

Was only half watching the game so ill amend my votes when I rewatch it

  7. Mousey AJ Son

Didn't realise he had so many tackles, nice. Just remember him turning it over a lot.

  8. MASTERS S Masters

    Freo v Ess votes:

    Sandilands
    Pavlich
    Hill
    ?

  9. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

Sandilands not in the votes imo

  10. Blake BE Quilty

Nathan Jones should be at 3 by your count. Good to see some interest in this, I won't watch all the matches but might have a punt based on other people's opinions at the end of the year.

Added in my votes from today's game. Will rewatch by tues/weds and look for them though so they're likely to change.

Good spot btw. Changed. I've ended up in the green 5 years straight, '11/12 doubled my cash and added about 30-40% last year. Don't get as much return on my dollar as I do on proper footy but I enjoy the brownlow betting more. What throws me is that some umpires love rewarded exceptional defensive performances (i.e. shutting down a gun fwd/tagging a bloke out) and others never do. Never know when it'll happen which messes with my votes.

I also do a rising star thing through the year for any interested which I'll keep in here. Give them a score out of 20 (mainly consider offensive performance unless they're a lockdown defender/there's a relevant defensive aspect to consider) and try and consider whether they were subbed or injured. I don't tally scores to work out a winner as it's not a comp won by who wins the most games but I do look at their average points and whether they've played a reasonable sample of games.

    Code:

    Right now the lead is

    Dunstan: 53
    McDonald: 50
    Aish: 48
    Hunter: 47
Gleeson: 47 (will 100% be nommed this week)
    Cameron: 46
    Daniher: 44
    Langdon: 42
    Kelly: 42 (3 games)
    Patton: 41
    Frost: 41
    Cunningham: 39
    Taylor: 38
    Saunders: 36
    Grundy: 35
    Plowman: 31 (3 games)
    Buckley: 30 (3 games)
    Kolodjashnij: 29 (3 games)

And IMO the top few will be
    1. Kelly
    2. Dunstan
    3. Hunter
    4. Daniher
    5. McDonald
    6. Gleeson
    7. Cameron
    8. Patton
    9. Aish
    10. Grundy

    Providing all are nommed.

Brownlow Medal race is really open now with Ablett out for the rest of the season. Does he have enough votes to hold on??

  15. Harps ZAF MacDonald

    Skippos give us ya votes

  16. Skippos SM Morgan

a few years ago when the avg votes was like 18-22 the yeah but now given you need >30 to be safe I reckon he's not. Pretty hard to get >30 votes in 16 games or so

  17. jimmy_c8 MC James

I saw a stat on Twitter before about Jobe Watson having 26 votes after 13 games in 2012 and had he not polled again he would have tied. Gaz would probably be on between about 23-25 so yeah probably not enough going by the last few years but you never know though

  18. brettman135 BR Hall

Hopefully Fyfe doesn't win it. Be disgraceful for him to miss out on that BS suspension.

  19. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

Reckon Gaz will still be a clear leader atm.

Yeah I'll cry if Fyfe wins :(

  20. MASTERS S Masters

    Pendlebury @ 3 bucks, worth a bet
