Pretty intense start at the Sarries/Clermont semi.

The Frenchmen have just had a try chalked off for obstruction. The Clermont #7 did block off Farrell, but, boy, the incumbent England stand off milked it.

    Farrell? Milking it? Surely not!!?

Looks like he's he over here, anyway.

Hacked it on with his knee from that angle. Dire pass from Ashton, but Goode ran a nice line to make the break.

    Yep, Owens confirms, try time.

Heckuva a performance from Sarries so far.

Just smashed every Clermont attack. Jacques Burger has been a force of nature, the mad Namibian bastard.

    Quality stuff from Ashton there.

Fair to say I've not been the boy's biggest fan, but he's been top banana today.

Clermont have just gone now tho. Never like to see it.

This is a pretty sorry effort from the best team in Europe.

Billy V has carried the ball further than any Clermont player.

Saracens have just bossed it really, as the scoreline suggests

    Yeah.

Sarries absorbed their best shot and they didn't wanna know after.

Another one as I type. Embarrassing now if it wasn't before.

    Ashton for England!

He probably would get a squad place in the summer if it weren't for Sarries being in the prem final. England aren't blessed with much riches on the wing.

As one understands players from the two teams who make it to the final will be selected to tour, but stood down for the first test only, so he's nailed on in current form.
