    Well, they're a tiny Union. They lost to Thames Valley yesterday though.

    King Country got beaten again, but North Otago ripped Horowhenua a new one, and Wanganui took out their frustration on a hapless Poverty Bay team.

    Only just read that somehow, East Coast dumped North Otago out of the Meads Cup on the weekend! What a result!

    Wanganui vs. East Coast final this weekend. What an incredible turnaround for East Coast from the last few seasons.

    Yep. They're the smallest Province in terms of size and player numbers, I believe. They did get to the top of NPC 2 at some point in the mid-90s, so they've often outperformed their size, but the turnaround from last season is incredible. Rua Tipoki has made a huge difference.

    Hasn't since 2009. Picked up some kind of nasty injury. I didn't think he'd be back to rugby at all. It's definitely him out there though. Constant back-chat to the ref.

    East Coast's #4 in the sin-bin after a bit of handbags with one of the Wanganui props.
