Geez you gotta feel for Burton, poor kid will replay that game in his head a million times tonight.

Edrick Lee will be having some mares too.

Where the fuck was Luai after the 3rd missed kick?

For those playing at home I'm on 828 points with DWZ and Thompson still to play.

Saddest part was I tried to switch latrell for Mansour last minute but the commish wouldn't approve it (woulda been an extra 35~)

Best should have just pinned his ears back instead of offloading. Would have got over easy with momentum.

The 8 point try fucked them

Gonna be an epic spoon race between Canterbury, St Merge and Gold Coast.

Though I do expect the Doggies to improve somewhat with Foran in.

Was this the Edrick Lee one? If so I agree.

Surely if you’ve propelled the ball forward, it is still live as it hasn’t touched the ground or another player then you’re still essentially in possession of the ball and fair game to be tackled?

When I did my referee's ticket I was specifically told that a player juggling the ball was considered to be in possession. The NRL interpretation throughout my life has pretty consistently gone against this though.

    agreed

was far from shanking them too.

he’s an interesting looking player. Like a young Jamie Soward in a young Josh Dugan’s body. Luai is pretty over rated but I can’t see Burton complementing Cleary at all though.

Hard to make too many judgements on 1 round especially a round that was essentially a Round 1.

But.... it's undeniable that the 1 ref and 6 again rulings have had a significant affect on the game. More minutes with the ball in play along with quicker ruck speed seemed to bring fatigue and a bit of chaos in defensive lines back into the game.

I just don't know how sustainable it is, naturally you would think that players and clubs will just adapt to the new physical demands and within a matter of time we will be back where we started.

I didn't hate the 6 again rulings, it was smoother than I thought it would be but surely we just get rid of the traditional penalty all together if that's the way we are going to go.

Why stop for offside penalties... not like the offending team can challenge it anyway.

Strip rulings are so hit and miss, making them the most valuable penalty in the game makes no sense. Just let them tap and continue the game.

I also think you lose the ridiculous shot clock on scrums. Capable organisers need to be able to control the tempo of a game that is now so heavily weighted to up tempo play.

Yeah that one. If Luai isn’t it possession then who is? In that case anyone can (theoritaclly) unintentionally juggle the ball the full length of the field without being touched.
Tis the first time I’ve seen it ruled like that. The ref normally states that they never had full control of the ball.

Teddy ruled out due to a fever. Wonder how many times this happens.

Hey why stop there? Why don't we just make every set a 10 tackle set?...And make the defending side sub a few players off too? Like really, let's make sure we retard the defensive side as much as we can.

lol the previous when where Cordner stopped in/before the line was worse than that.

Both should be a try. Consistency with previous years getting raped after 9 games, post-corona.

Broncos look like a side that has never played together.

The Broncos players have spoken in the past months about how their pre-season had been fired by the goal to "never again" experience the 58-0 humiliation they suffered against the Eels in last year's elimination final.

It only took four premiership games to sink even lower.

Did someone open the pokie rooms back up?

That's 2 50+ point smashings in the last five games. Wonder how much longer Siebold has.

I know they have injuries but their side is pretty damn strong on paper, no reason they should be this shit.
