Hmm, so I don't see a likely chance at the top 11 for a while here.

    THIS!

Australia won the toss and opted to bat.

    10 overs: Australia 35/1

Chad Dyer continued his fine form with the early wicket of Warner and a strong opening spell. The new ball was as watertight as ever for the Cricsim bowlers as Khawaja (11* off 26) struggled, but Steve Smith found some fluency at the crease as Australia rebuilt.

    20 overs: Australia 79/1

The change bowlers failed to make an impact for CricSim as Steve Smith sped towards a fifty and got Australia back on track.

    30 overs: Australia 121/2

Devon Mace got the breakthrough in his eighth over as Khawaja fell for a shaky but valuable 43. At the other end Smith was excellent, making the lion's share of the hundred partnership for the second wicket.

    40 overs: Australia 181/2

Langdon Alger, following a disappointing first spell, started with a maiden over on his return but couldn't keep up the pressure for more than that. Squeak Scolari had an even worse time with the ball as he was hit for three consecutive boundaries off Smith. Cartwright supported the centurion as they put together an unbroken fifty stand.

    50 overs: Australia 288/5

Smith fell for 119 to Jono 'golden arm' Chewie, but Handscombe hit his first ball for six off Alger as Australia passed 200. From there it went from bad to worse for the CricSim attack. Cartwright made fifty at ta run a ball, and Handscombe's ferocious cameo made that in half the deliveries.

Cartwright was dismissed by Dyer for the first ball of the last over, and HAndscombe was run out of the last ball, but the damage had been done.

    10 overs: CricSim 67/0

Taking no quarter against the Australian attack, James and Mahmathlai set about the chase with glee. Mahmathlai hit his first ball for six, setting the tone for a blistering opening stand.

Yikes. Need a big innings with the bat to keep up.

That's a great start though. James WAG.

    20 overs: Cricsim 126/1

While Mahmathlai fell lbw to Hazlewood in the 11th over, and Delonge played with some circumspection, there was no stopping Matt James. The opener blazed past fifty and to 80 (65) with a spectacular array of strokes.

    30 overs: CricSim 198/2

Tom Delonge joined in the fun with a succession of boundaries off Hastings and Faulkner, Cricsim passing 150 in the process. The number three was catching up nicely as he drove Cummins to the boundary to raise his fifty off 51 balls.

Not to be outdone, James blasted 15 from the unfortunate Faulkner's fourth over, but the following over was beaten by a fine delivery from Hazlewood to be the seamer's second wicket. He was gone for 97 off just 78 balls, leaving Cricsim in a commanding position.

    40 overs: CricSim 235/2

With no pressure on them to chase hard, Delonge and Wood looked to solidify their partnership and took the home side towards touching distance of the target.

    49.2 overs: Cricsim 290/4

Tom Delonge's solid innings was ended by Mitchell Starc, and from there the innings stalled. Oscar Wood played out a maiden for the 42nd over, and Hawke seemed a long way from his usual belligerence as he edged and nurdled his way to 5* (16). Suddenly Cricsim's runs had dried up and they needed 39 to win from 4 overs.

The returning Faulkner knocked over Wood for a poor 35, and though Chewie hit his second ball for four, Cricsim were down to their last experienced batsmen with 35 to win from 18 balls. In the 48th over, Cricsim took 12 from a shoddy one by Cummins, in which Khawaja dropped a dolly of a catch that would have dismissed Chewie. 23 needed off 12. A six off Hawke, then a four from Chewie after a Hawke edge failed to carry. 9 runs to get from 6 balls.

Hawke only needed two. Blasted for six over midwicket, then four runs off the pads.

    Cricsim won by six wickets
