Telling people God’s plan for them is hell, is pretty fucking hateful.

The fact that he wants to ‘save’ them doesn’t make him any better than other zealots. They think they’re ‘saving’ people too.

    Okay.

Yeah there is. It's called a contract.

Yeah, I mean he's practically Kunta Kinte.

I didn't say he can leave at any time. I said he can continue posting bigotry, but he may and indeed has been called to witness for it.

That's not a double-standard. Both atrocities occurred. Denying one of them represents either gross ignorance, or gross racism, and probably both.

Are any of these people posting anti-Christian bigotry in Folau's position?

Allowing for the incoherence, how is interstate rivalry the same as condemning people to hellfire for eternity?

And ah, no Rugby Australia can't ban me from saying Qld is better than NSW, cause, ah, you know, I didn't sign a contract with them. If EWS finds it offensive then yeah he is perfectly within his rights to ban me. It's his forum.

That's highly debatable. If the game is seen to be 'inclusive' (a term I'm not particularly fond of) and that in turn draws more people to it, then yes they did.

Assuming that allegation is true, I don't see how that changes anything.

Sort of arguing against your own point here with respect to the economics of it, aren't you?

As I said in my previous posts, drawing a line between those who are directly referenced in Folau's comments and those who aren't, is false. People who aren't gay are also interested in not seeing gay people vilified. But yeah, clearly I'm the one trying to make this too black and white. lol

    Cool. I get it now.

Folau's contract should be illegal, he's practically from the middle passage, state rivalry is the same as religious bigotry, and all codes and their sponsors want to destroy the family unit no matter how much financial damage it inflicts to their brands.

Was good to talk with you, Milo.

Banned and not being let back into the game...Explain to me what the difference is exactly?

  4. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Yeah Australia doesn't have 'free speech laws' I believe only America has protected speech. But I'm pretty sure he is not allowed to be terminated based on religious beliefs.

  5. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

We have protected speech. It’s more narrowly defined, however.

That is god's plan though? It's not his opinion, it's what is explicitly stated in the Bible.

I don't really see why any one cares, except oxymoronic gay Christians or Christian drunkards that some how thought they were getting in to heaven prior to Izzy speaking up.

Being banned suggests there's something formal or legal stopping him from returning. Which there isn't. Bans generally have a time limit or a set of conditions that need to be met in order for someone to return.

Not being let back into the game suggests that they just don't want to hire him. In this case because they don't believe he shares in the companies values. If he can change that perception like I said someone will make him an offer.

You debate disingenuously. You can't even concede the Armenian/holocaust comparison even though it's a perfect comparison, with people believing and not believing in either. You can argue either side of the Armenian genocide without fear so your opinion on that is mute. You can't with the holocaust.

At the end of the day MF supports an oligarchy restricting the speech of citizens. This is a current social issue demanding change hence why Trump just held that social media conference but MF wants to pretend it isn't happening so he can stick by strict libertarian guidelines instead of living in reality. These oligarchs now hold too much power.. they don't need to work for Rugby Australia because they own the sponsors who then control Rugby Australia. And they're doing this with everything. Allowing them to dictate speech has created double standards all over with some people being protected and more 'equal' than others. You can't just sit back and allow this to happen. The damage to reputation is a complete fallacy and a fraudulent argument. Nobody was going to stop watching Rugby because Folau posted that (for the second time, funny how the first time had zero impact). Nobody was going to stop buying the products of their sponsors. They've lost more viewers in their stance against folau by offending christians, some of whom actually do watch rugby. The people who cause an outrage acting offended at these things have moved on within a day to the next thing. They only do it because they know it works to get what they want. And when the reverse happens, and christians are offended, or men are offended for example with the Gillete ads, they don't bend over. It's a complete double standard. They stick with their propaganda because they have so much wealth now that they don't even care about a minor backlash.

Eventually you'll get to a point like when the Normans conquered England and professed to 'free the slaves'. The peasants were now 'free' to leave their contracted employers anytime they chose. Except the new nobility now owned all the land, and living or hunting without permission of the landowner was death penalty. So the serf could not live nor eat anywhere except under a Norman master. And their lives were now worse than when they were as slaves, because their former masters used to provide them with housing and food, whereas now they had to do the same amount of work, and provide their own housing and food.

If corporations and govt own every non-peasant job in the world, and every peasant who manages to create a business and ascend to the upper class has to appease his wealthy investors to survive, then every important person in the world who might have a 'voice' has their speech controlled. And that's pretty much what has already happened.

If Folau wants to talk shit on a public space, then there should be laws introduced allowing him to without fear of losing his livelihood. The 'fear' of a damaged reputation to the corporation is insignificant compared to the fear of controlling all speech.

Oh, I think he's a deadset idiot for posting it. However, the amount of energy being put into the response was ludicrous.

  10. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

By response: I mean the RU sacking him, media beatup, ARL chiming in, the gofundme shutdown, the Christian Lobby fundraiser, sheep in the facebook comments repeating the post above them.

All this for posting a meme that reflects a few lines in a book that you'll find in just about every household; on the bookshelf/hollowed out for weed/the bottom of a box in the shed, in every bookshop and just about every Hotel.

You said Folau is a slave and I'm the one debating disingenuously? You fatuous idiot. Every argument you've made shows a complete lack of proportion or moral intelligence.

They have a code of conduct which he agreed to abide by. But yeah that's clearly some Tsarist state of affairs............ugh...

Yeah, for..........um......for sure. lol like seriously, what the fuck are you even talking about?

Yeah imagine having a business where the opinions of your customers made you think twice before you started saying stupid shit in public which might hurt your brand. Again, how do we manage to live under such a brutal autocracy?

No there shouldn't be. It has nothing to do with free speech. No agency of the state has threatened his right to free expression. His employer has the right to reprimand him in the same way that if I don't like what you're saying to me, I have the right to walk away. The fact that you still don't understand this trivial distinction is telling.

There is no attempt to control all speech. You live in a fantasy. Again, intellectually dishonest, borderline imbecile.

Apparently Keary has once again tried to get his eligibility changed to QLD. Even if he doesn't get it, that should definitely put a line through his name when it comes to NSW selection.

  13. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

While the new rules they brought out a few years back were needed, there should be room for each application that doesn't quite meet every one of those requirements to be assessed individually by an ARL panel.

  14. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Keary becoming eligible is the only way I’d consider Munster in the centres.

Yeah I'd probably do this too if Keary was available.

  16. Magic AJ Parker

I read QLD were trying not Keary.

  17. AVA T Delonge

The article I read said both he and QLD were approaching Greenberg to be reclassified, but yeah everything else just says Qld players so not sure.

Even when he does something good, Dugan still butchers a certain try.

    Wrong thread. Aids.

What do we reckon of this Horsburgh? Any potential to play Origin one day?
