    Pretty damning stat on Sportsbet - NSW have won 8 of the last 9 first halves. Gotta stop that shit if we're going to be a chance. This side can't chase points the way previous Qld teams could.

    Gillett 2019 plays like Lowe anyway so I don't think it's actually a really massive loss. Obviously it just compounds the existing injuries though.

    If Napa gets brought in instead it'll massively favour NSW though. He's a better player than Lowe but Queensland don't need Fifita to play 80 minutes with no second row injury cover for the luxury of having six props in the team. I think having a stint on an edge may be a bit beyond fatso Papalii these days and NSW would target him with Tedesco if Queensland tried it.

    Gillett’s an opportunist though. He’s bog average imo but he has a way of being Johnny on the spot or breaking the line sometimes. But yeah it mostly just compounds our injury toll even more.

    Probably improves Qlds defence and you don't really lose anything in attack as he's offered very little since returning from his ACL injury.

    Averages 60m a game at club level this year.

    Game 1 42metres & 7 missed tackles
    Game 2 48 metres & 2 handling errors

    If Lowe and Fifita share the role I think it makes Qld a stronger side.

    Looking forward to the U20s Origin. QLD need the next batch to start coming through ASAP. Guys like Niu and Spry in the backs, Bullemor, Fa’asuamaleaui and Gilbert in the forwards. Cory Paix in the halves. Fa’asuamaleaui (had to copy and paste this shit) has already played 1 game of first grade, Gilbert seems like is smashing down on the Cowboys door too.
