Not convinced Addo-Carr is better than Cotric when you take incumbency out of the equation.

  2. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

True. And Reynolds, though a poor selection, is somewhat defensible; halfback with a great kicking game blah blah. But the bench is horrible as I’m sure we all agree.

Apparently QLD expect DCE to play

    Ponga
    Goates
    Morgan
    Gagai/Chambers/Fifita
    Feldt/Gagai
    Munster
    DCE

I really hope Walter doesn't do anything stupid like Milford on the pine.

  4. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

DCE would be a huge in for us.

  5. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Walters said he will pick him without an NRL game beforehand

  6. Cribbage RG Cribb

He'd be mad not to. His inclusion would dramatically improve two positions.

  7. Lukic L Popovic

Fuck QLD, but for today, we all say thank you.

  8. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Derp...

Fuck the people, but for today, we the establishment say thank you.

i think they might both be establishment. i couldn't believe how many women candidates there were.. i put them all last and the men first. i'd usually always put libs over labor but they had a woman running for lib.. like are they for real? and my seat is a 70% or so lib stronghold so there's no point running a dumb slut to get the woman vote and get an edge.

  10. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yes, that was my point. Hence why anyone not in a swing seat should be voting informal, imo.

  11. Magic AJ Parker

Having watched the opening 10 rounds I would have to stick with the halves pairing I would've picked last year.

    6. Cody Walker
    7. James Maloney

I still have moral issues with picking Luke Keary but it's pretty much a given that he will be picked so I really hope he gets the 7 and Walker in the 6.

The left/right half argument is absurd and if the selectors are thinking like that it really could throw up a ridiculous selection such as Adam Reynolds or Nathan Cleary.

  12. Magic AJ Parker

Cody Walker has more try involvements than the Penrith Pnathers.

    Must play.

  13. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

He will be great off the bench playing hooker for 15 mins.

  14. Lukic L Popovic

    I'd pick Matterson over Crichton.

Lucky we're paying Matterson 2mil a year and Roosters got Crichton for 75k a year.

  15. Magic AJ Parker

    Matt Gillett?

I'm not sure Crighton is even starting standard at his current club. The whole consideration of him as an Origin player is a pretty good example of people judging action by reputation rather than the other way around.

  17. Julian BJ Taylor

I’m not sure why Tariq Sims isn’t the pretty obvious selection as bench second rower considering he can play middle as well.

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

I still reckon I’d back Thompson to play a game or 2 at second row better than any other option if either of the incumbents got injured too ftr. He wouldn’t even be in the conversation but he’s a better genuine second rower currently than Crichton, Sims or Matterson imo.

  19. Julian BJ Taylor

    And Jackson too, obv.

Pangai Jr has brushed the Blues and committed to Tonga.
