Who was the definition of average this year, yeah, he is a chance.

Hess is not good enough defensively to start.

Papalii has to play left edge.

Otherwise do you try someone like a Joe Ofahengaue there.

As much as I'd like to see it, it's not even worth really talking about. Papalii will never play on the edge for Qld. He's seen as a prop, has been for years, and he's playing middle third for Canberra.

Aidan Guerra is a better chance of playing on that edge than Papa.

We simply have to find the middle third capable of competing set for set.

Napa and McGuire are certainties and should be. Papalii pretty much is as well. Arrow should undoubtedly be there. So we need one genuine, Origin standard prop between Scott, Wallace, Ofa and a whole list of greenies.

Bolton's really unlucky to have never played Origin IMO, especially given some of the other cunts who have for Queensland. Fucking dire year for him though.

I think I'd pick pretty much exactly this, but I'd swap Hess and Kaufusi. And I'd not sold on Ofa at all; I'd be totally suckered in to picking whatever flavour of the month let me avoid picking him.

I thought Kaufusi was more like Cowpoopsy. Hopefully Su'a, Hess, Fifita etc develop quickly.

  9. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah he's been a creampuff this year.

    Jensen.

Ofa can at least provide some impact with the ball. Get some hard coconut full sprints into the line. Anything other than the putrid shit Glasby offers.

    Believe.

it's been a decade and nsw still haven't produced any other halfbacks lol... not even close either, it's not like there's been two swimming around that same average standard in nrl to compete for origin like Hunt Vs DCE. Literally every other halfback nsw have produced in a decade has been below standard.

QLD at 2.90 to win next year's series. Massive overs.

Rhyse Martin is apparently eligible for QLD. He's been impressive for the Dogs, I wonder if he's a chance next year. Can't be worse than Cooper or Kaufusi at the very least.

I like the look of Lindsay Collins who currently plays in our reserve grade, played a few games of first grade now off the bench.

Big lump of a lad, I just don't see him breaking his way into our top 4 rotation. If another club picks him up given the shortage of middle thirds QLD currently have I reckon he'd be a genuine chance in the near future.

I like him too. Wanna see how he goes playing more minutes per game.

Is Holmes a good chance of being the QLD fullback next year? I know Ponga is considered to be a long term option, but he's really struggling at the moment (and possibly injured) and Holmes is in the best form of his career. I guess it's a good sort of headache to have, have them push each other to perform better.

  19. Magic AJ Parker

Only reason Ponga shouldn't be fullback is if he's 5/8 and I don't see that happening because Munster looks the long term Australian 5/8 for the next era.

    How is Ponga really struggling?
