So Lockyer reckons that not only was Slater deserving of MotS, the reason he was selected from a losing side was because there was a significant enough gap between him and the next best. Ridiculous.

Hair dye has clearly penetrated his brain.

For all the inadequacies in his passing game, Tedesco was the threat we just couldn’t stop. He should’ve been mots.

Maloney and Cook were also deserving IMO.

Maloney and Cook sucked in Game III; Tedesco was good in every game. They were definitely more deserving than Slater though, lol.

Maloney especially, because he got next to no assistance from Cleary.

To be fair "sucked" is probably too strong a criticism for Cook's Game III game too. He was fine, just didn't have the impact he had on the first two games. Maloney was genuinely poor though.

You on drugs Cribb? What game were you watching.

  9. Magic AJ Parker

James Tedesco had more running meters, more tackle busts, more try assists, more line breaks, more line break assists and more tries than Slater for the entire series... and that was at full time in game 1

I think his try assist to Holmes was the pick of the lot.

In that case, player of the decade?

I think he's a gun winger. Very good finisher and extremely hard to bring down. You don't play only 100 games by the age of 28 unless you seriously believe in your own ability. I think if given a chance, as he has been at Wests, the bloke would take it with both hands.

I also think QLD should have a close look at Corey Jensen next year. He's averaging 90m and 18 tackles in only 30 odd minutes game time this year from the bench for the Cows. Kid has some serious go-forward and could be useful for impact. Solid defender and quite mobile too.

Meninga’s Test team will be interesting. Even just the merit side.

Pretty solid on all of those. Maloney most likely in the halves with DCE is, imo, the best we can do but we'll have to wait and see how the season plays out. Morgan at 14 if he's fit. McGuire and Napa definitely in there on the bench with maybe one starting. And I'd have Papalii as a reserve because he covers middle and edge.

I'd have GI as captain as he is easily the most experienced player. Cordner obviously vc.

The halves will 100% be Munster/Maloney.
