    Todd Carney will return to Australia next year, unclear whether the NRL would register a contract for him if a club did want him though. Could end up playing reserves in the NSW Cup.

    Also heard Matagi might head to the Broncos otherwise his only other offers are from the UK.

    Was, ended up doing some community service. Although the victims are still trying to sue him for 2 million dollars I believe. No chance the NRL will be registering him until all of that gets sorted.

    I don't think Benji is all that bad. He's suffered playing as a halfback in one of the worst teams in the comp. I think for 200k he'd be a brilliant buy for any number of clubs.

    I really can't agree with this. I thought this when he was pretty ordinary on return, and even when the Dragons somehow weren't horrible in '15 it had very little to do with Marshall.

    He was absolutely horrendous in 2016 and I'm not buying it was 'because he had to play halfback' at all. SFA footy teams play with a genuine halfback now anyway and the Dragons definitely weren't. He was just completely bereft of any attacking nous and looks like he'd struggle to beat home Trent Merrin in a 40 metre match race.

    Marshall used to be deceptively quick. In his prime he's one of the fastest halves I've seen. It's weird because he's only 31 but these days he is slow as fuck. His ball playing ability has always been overrated but you can see it for what it is now because his creativity relied a lot on his running game and speed. He's nothing like Thurston or Johns who used vision and change of angles, but he's often seen as a similar type of player due to his natural skill. He's very washed up now.

    Yep Marshall is the type of player who was never going to age well. Hammy injuries in his early 30's isn't a good sign either.

    I think its fucking hilarious though that he made a big song and dance about knocking back the Dragons 300k offer because he refused to sign for unders and knew his worth only to sign for the Broncos on fuck all.
