TBH I'm more pissed at the game plan for the final 20mins. Protecting a 4 point lead against the fucking Cowboys? Retarded isn't a strong enough description.

Congrats to the Cows though. One of the best GF's I've seen for a long time personally.

Was almost the right call though. Would have been if not for a few errors in the last minute.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck, can't believe I missed that because of work. What a bloody finish, will have to catch the game replay ASAP.

So ah, I have no voice left basically. lol. So fucking happy for the Cowboys though. It was a cracker finish.

Here's how I saw the premiers. Firstly I thought they defended like absolute shit (38 missed tackles). Their defence should've cost them the game. It was downright terrible for most of the night. Conceding tries from 90m out, or after a dropped ball is just unforgivable. Broncos players were dawdling across field with nothing doing and yet still poked their noses through at will. Secondly, I thought their attack was sub-standard for most of the game too. They played laterally when they should've played straight and vice versa. They didn't pepper the Broncos left side anywhere near enough and when they actually did, they carved them up. They played impatiently at times and way to conservatively at others. It really wasn't a very good performance. But honestly that's how I saw both sides.

I know the typical fan will say it was a great game due to the close scoreline but honestly, the standard of footy was pretty shit. Decision-making, kicking, defensive technique, just general ball control, it was all lacking and from both sides to say this was a premiership on the line.

I feel really sorry for Ben Hunt. I mean he cost them the game plain and simple. First the dangerous tackle on Linnett and then, of course, the knock-on. Gotta feel for the kid. He won't be able to stop thinking about it. He's young though and a fucking good player, he's got a great career ahead of him.

As for the Clive Churchill medal, well, I can't believe Thurston won it. He honestly played like shit. Yeah, he came up with a few good plays and the crunch field goal when it was needed but really, he wasn't in the top 5 on the field tonight. Got caught with the ball constantly, kicked poorly, lacked organisation and so forth. Granville, Parker, Milford, Tamou, Scott, Taumalolo and several others were all much better. Milford or Granville for mine.

Congrats to Hodges on a great career.

Well done to the Cowboys. It wasn't their best footy by a longshot but they never gave in and I'm just ecstatic for them. (Yes, Paddy! fucking YES!)

And that Boyd incident was a fucking knock-on. I can't believe that was called play on.

I've experienced the losing end of 4 GF's but there would be nothing more devastating than losing in that fashion.

Linnett dropping that sitter when he was through the line I thought was gonna cost us the game too.

Honestly both sides need shooting for the way they used the ball at crucial times. Kicking on 3rd, shifting it wide on 2nd. That shit was happening all night down in the opposition's red zone and it lead to some real schoolboy errors. The Cowboys had umpteen chances and fucked them all. Broncos get down the other end for the first time in 15 minutes and Boyd just chucks it to the ground on 3rd. Like wtf. It was painful to watch at times.

Yep, I thought that was the moment. JT finally put a bloke through, the pass wasn't perfect but he should've taken it. Then Coote's double-movement. It just felt like it wasn't gonna be the Cowboys night. Fortunately, they never say die.

It's the same issue I mentioned the other week and the same issue they've had all year. Difference is that for some unknown reason, they rarely gave the ball to Morgan in the opp 20. Every time they did he looked like creating something and then when it mattered most he did it. Thurston was an absolute dud all night so I have no clue why they were persisting with starving the right edge of the ball in attack. It was shitting me to no end

Haha just soak it all in and enjoy it while it lasts. No doubt one of the best feelings in the world.

The atmosphere after that last try was pretty immense. Literally everyone stopped and just watched for like 2 minutes until Thurston took the kick. The entire section I was working in was a ghost town

Yep. Some inept tactics to go left when Brisbane's left side defends like pus. Lol they got it done though. It took 79.59 minutes but they got it done.

Gonna take a while for this reality to sink in. I still can't believe they did it. Condolences to Jaz, Harry, Alec, Gemmell and the rest of the Broncs supporters. Such a bad way to lose. Great effort though.

Yeah I feel for Broncos fans who had to endure that. Seemed I guess an appropriate way for the season to end given that's the way the Cowboys got their first win of the season in the first place.

Yeah the Cowboys were the comeback kings this year. To play 65 minutes of a GF from behind and still win, you'd have to think is almost unheard of. They only lead in that game for 9 minutes before breaking the deadlock. That's just insane.

Just the fact it was the Cows makes me content with the result. I was more shocked with the events of the end to be upset or disappointed tbh. I'm actually happy for Cows that they have their premiership.

Most Beisbane fans aren't as passionate, so not the same IMO.
