Yeah it's good. I was slightly misinformed about Weller though as he only has credits on two songs, though there's a Weller vibe on a few others. Too early to say if its better than the debut though I would say if you like that you'll like this one too.

Would you believe it, postman brings my LP but not CD version of the album (I'm a sad geek, I know). Record player is in my bedroom but it's gonna have to be done. You do get a free download with it but I'm not making my first listen of an album I'm excited about an mp3 one. That would suck.

I'm probably the same then, thinking about it. Miles is quite lucky getting the release day treatment, that's normally reserved for Gallaghers and Axl Rose (every 15 years or so)

And the Miles Kane one? I think you liked his first. You'll be interested to know Weller has performed the Alex Turner role on this one. You could hear the Weller sound on some of the new songs he played when I saw him a few weeks back. It's out Monday but I've pre ordered so am hoping it comes tomorrow.

Yeah, I've heard you wax lyrical about Martyn (John that is, not so much GIMH), but I have never listened to and neither can I recall reading anything from you about AMC. When I think Mark Eitzel, I tend to think of his solo work, I guess. Probably his mid-90s solo stuff was more my era, perhaps? Not sure.

ITSTL. I knew Astral Weeks & a Smiths album were likely to be there, should have guessed about Elbow too, but the others are surprising to some extent.
