Sounds good. Looks like you are really concerned with the numerical score. I misunderstood and thought it was the translation thingy

wilco. W/o having looked yet, I don't think the ranking needs much tinkering - the numerical score algorithm is the really hard part to automate.

Have a quick look at the ratings given out to date. I may be spitballin', but it does seem that on occasions, the wingers are getting 'cheap' high rankings whilst the centres and locks are finding it very difficult to get anything over an 8.

Well, I just feel like the wingers are finding it too easy to get high ratings if they score a try. Which suggests to me that the average SCP scores you were basing your rankings off (the pre-season games) were turning out a bit differently to the matches during the season. So, I'd probably add the SCP scores from the league games to date into your existing statistical model to see if that changes the SCP required for each ranking level.

Any chance you can update your statistical analysis on RUSim SCPoints? I think the ratings are a little bit skewed for some positions based on the results so far.

We'll see how we stand after the second round. Maybe we need a separate statistical analysis for reserve grade, but I would much prefer to avoid that. Maybe just slightly wider bandings?

Hey mate - i've added the Hurricane Rating System to RUSim... The only thought I've had is that really the HRS rates players based on having played the full 80 minutes. Just when you get the chance, how could the amount of time on the field be factored in?
