Gagai had one of the worst games i can recall. Terrible in defence, out of position all night, ran for about 3m a carry, and had poor hands.

Definitely shouldve been Oates. Was the obvious replacement.

Need to find a way to play Holmes on the wing without fucking up the centre selection.

There is fuck all other options, wouldn't be against

    Oates

Holmes is wasted in the centres imo.

Not sure about Fermor in the centres though. I'd sooner just switch Murray and Val.
Storm need to start playing Howarth.

Brimson? Mbye? Origin winner Corey Allan?

Fermor is a gun, has done well there for Titans.

Agreed, thought Coates injury in game 1 turned out to be a bit of blessing in disguise. At least in the context of that game anyway.

Val should never have been moved off the wing in any side. Cows just paid him fullback money and seem to think it's not a good investment to play someone earning that much on the wing, though wingers are more important than your centres.

The average PTB was about 6 seconds in the first 20. Jake and Martin should have been binned 3 times each and weren't even pinged.

Right so longer than average, as a third man in pretty blatant flop, with a second effort of laying on him after about 5 seconds instead of just standing up, trying to slow the team down from a quick play the ball on the try line on the back of however many 6 agains there were leading up to it.

    Pretty fair sin binning.

It was certainly a clear penalty, the problem is that the ruck has been slow on both sides for 30minutes with minimal ref interference and then for 5 mins on the Qld try line all of a sudden Klein becomes interested in policing the ruck. Penalises Qld 5 times ending in a sin bin which leads to an immediate try and another in the subsequent 10 mins. Then he puts the whistle away again for another 30. Now that is my biased, one eyed, view, so take it with a grain of salt, but that is certainly what it felt like to me.

    When they ran through the list of most recent wingers to do it;

    Alex Johnston
    Matt Ikuvalu
    Alex Johnston again
    Nathan Merritt

Almost seems like confirmation that you’re an average winger once you’ve scored 5.

Wighton plays a blinder game 1, Burton plays really strong in game 2, Latrell Mitchell is available for game 3…

On the flip side Staggs and Crichton have both put in really poor performances but I just don’t think any of Wighton, Mitchell or Burton should be playing on the right edge. All left hand carries and all pretty much played exclusively down the left edge in the centres or as halves.

Will be interesting to see what Freddy does as I think he 100% picks Wighton somewhere in the team, feels like he has always tried to find a place for him if available.

Time to drop Luai, Burton to 6 and Wighton left centre.
