State of origin 2022

QLD have been very negative in the ruck, I really don’t like sin bins in games but they’re the worst rucks I’ve seen this season in NRL or rep footy.

When you’re just deliberately holding down and deliberately jumping early I get it as a ref, didn’t make enough calls early though. Let too much go and then let it build to what happened before half time.

 

Only took 115 minutes to finally put Cobbo under a real high bomb.. and he drops it.

 

Jake Turbo’s addition to us defensively has been huge. Much needed re-selection.

Liam Martin and Cam Murray really not cut out for 2nd row at this level. Lack of skill really noticeable.

 

Agreed 100%, Jake Turbo and Crichton could’ve been penalised a couple times each.

On balance though QLD have been far worse and very deliberate with the offsides as part of their rushing defence.

5 infringements in 4 minutes is just too many and he ignored a few in that period too including the whole left edge being offside from the scrum. At what point do they make the call to use the sin bin? Should be avoided until absolutely necessary but at that point it felt necessary…

 

Tuilagi head high? 3rd marker ‘obstructed’? Ponga forward pass?

Klein’s just a dud ref, NSW have had their fair share of bad calls.

 

What did you think of Stephen Crichton pass to Paulo?

 

Been the difference so far in an otherwise close contest.

 

That's a very soft try, looked like DCE was looking for a bludge on the edge.

Geez Andrew Johns really is a terrible commentator, he gives Blocker a run for his money.

 

Slaters use of his middle rotation has been so strange this series, didn't get much criticism in game 1 because they won but very odd that we have only seen 15mins from Papalii & 25mins from Tino.

 

NSW just absolutely shredding up the middle in yardage and now attack.

Wonder if QLD have any big fresh middles they could bring on to tighten to the middle?
