    Tapine lived up to his hype tonight. His try was one of the all time classic power forward tries.

    Have been talking this past two weeks about the playoffs being career defining. Tapine's career just got a massive exclamation point. First time I have seen him play absolutely snorting pure fire. What a play that was.

    Geez that was a stinker. Such a shit way to see the quest for a 3peat end, we were all over the place tonight never seen us look so disorganised in attack and I would say I’ve never seen us concede so many easy tries but unfortunately it’s become a trend over the last month.

    SST suspected ACL is an absolute killer, not sure how serious Collins injury is but we look very light on in the middles for next year now with SBW playing prop for about 20mins tonight :blink:

    Tapine has been a gun for a long time, as I've said to you before. Just hasn't had the constant highlight reel that he's pulling off atm.

    I think it's the tactics for the forwards that were also underwhelming. Mostly just one out hit ups, no angled running that actually threatened the defence. Their decoy plays were far too easily predicted and read. Lots of times they'd get the ball at a stand still and not running onto it which gives 0 chance of metre gains.

    Do the Raiders always drag Papalli and Tapine at the same time like last night? They're just such a step above Lui, Soliola and Young that I think thye need to offset them coming off by a few sets at least.

    Who misses out in that backline? Manu looked deadly every play. Or are you thinking that they just never sign Josh Morris?


    I must admit it is impressive the way Roosters, with so many old heads and on the back of 2 premierships, can still turn it on at the end of games after being down by so much and look like they'd win by a try or two if there was another 5 minutes.

    No it's all been Stuart working out things on the hop with Guler, Horsburgh and Sutton out. One of the 2 are often used off the bench to split them.

    I thought I'd seen Tapine coming off the bench and Lui starting a bit through the season. I think its good to start em both on with the line up they had, ideal if he can get an extra 6-10 minutes out of Tapine early, though he looked pretty cooked last night, he's got the foot work to give some tiring forwards a headache.

    No J.Morris obvs. Look at the GF winning try last year and compare that to half breaks the Roosters make down that edge those last 2 games that never eventuate. Would J. Morris have pulled off that GF winning try? He is good but Latrell was exceptional at setting Tupou free, he's a bigger body close to the line to force his way over, and of course he makes something out of nothing which the Roosters now lack.

    Raiders must be lamenting having no Hodgson, they'd be a proper shot at the title otherwise. Surely they can't have Rapana defending at centre again.
