Strange too, I was going to comment that I think a large part of Canberra's performances to dat come down to Hodgson being out of form and Bateman not being available.

Arguably their two most influential players.

Other random Tigers observations I have nowhere else to post:

    1. Luciano Leilua has been a really good buy. I think he'd be amazing with a better half than Brooks inside him, but I guess it'll work given he's got two great support players in Brooks and Mbye beside him.

    2. Sam McIntyre has impressed me a lot early. He's in the mold of Radley/Murray, good footwork, good hands and hits hard. Obviously only 2 games but if he can keep it up, he'll definitely be in the 17 long-term.

    3. Aloiai is becoming a gun. Really like how he's developed this season and the move to prop full-time has been great. Very good motor, impactful hitups and hits hard. Mikaele has disappointed me a bit because of his lack of work. He's always dragging 3 or 4 with him so if he could up the work rate he'd be another weapon.

I think we should go with this line-up going forward:

    1. Doueihi
    2. Nofoaluma
    3. Leilua
    4. Mbye
    5. Talau
    6. Reynolds
    7. Brooks
    8. Aloiai
    9. Grant
    10. Twal
    11. Garner
    12. Leilua
    13. Eisenhuth

    14. Musgrove (Clark)
    15. Mikaele
    16. McIntyre
    17. Chee-Kam

They needed that win against Manly for their confidence. They're cooked. Big chance to spoon it.

Yeah it's funny to think that it was only two weeks ago they were leading one of the better teams in the comp 18-4 at half time. They completely lost the plot after that game. I thought the media was overreacting at the time and it now seems like I was wrong, but I wonder how much the pile on actually contributed to the eventual total collapse.

Apparently the solution is dropping Oates. Boyd still earning selection.

They looked pretty good before covid. They've had a pretty bad run with injuries last yr and this, I'm surprised they managed to make the 8 last year with how many major injuries they had.

There is a rot though. There is no way they should be doing as poorly as they are with the cattle they have.

There is no communication or leadership on the field, and that degrades to complete lack of effort. You see multiple tries a game scored against the broncos that you barely see in a whole season with any other side. Tries with 3-4 man overlaps, and tries on the line during a 3 man tackles where they are practically held, but the ball carrier manages to wrestle everyone over the tryline and get the ball free to plant it.

Lack of discipline, errors and failure to adapt to the new rules has killed our possession and gasses our forwards.
Backs have zero communication, inside or out. Commitment in defence is embarrassing across the board (Unless you count Darius' feigned efforts of rushing up on nobody, then holding his arms out in appeal).
Halves are all over the shop. Croft is tilting hard, Milford has the 1000 yard stare and Dearden got 15mins v the Tits.

And off the field Seibold has been given "The full support of the board", which is more or less a death sentence.

Their season is fucked, they've already written it off mentally.

These two statements contradict each other though. It's very clear looking at the make up of their squad that there is an huge void in leadership along with just as importantly seasoned performers. Has been for a number of years.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest how they are performing just like it won't surprise me when they put a run of wins together at some point this season. That is just the type inconsistency you will get with a talented side without any leadership.

Broncos are just the hype beasts of the NRL and are perennially overrated as a result.

Dunno if I'd be moving Cameron Smith. He can play in the halves but they lose so much not having him at 9.

    Jeez that's a butchered opportunity.

Had 4000 fookin grand on Easts to lead at ht. Fuck i love you Morris. Wooot!

Smith should not be moved from 9. Ever.

Superb play there started by Morris and Tedesco. The key is Keary with that much time. Never fails to take advantage of a retreating defence.

Said 10 years ago Morris is one of the best wingers of all time and he just keeps proving it. Honestly, you'd pick him in the Test team.

Fuck both Morris' are guns lol.

Momirovski is a really randomly good finisher. He just seems to score whenever he has half a chance.
