Yeah I forgot about that. Such a stupid law.

What is it with you atm over rating Wests pack? CHN would be straight in as your best second rower.

Weren’t they quick to play the racist and mental health cards.

So very expected. Would be funny if the government make the NRL delay the season and they get de-registered.

  7. Lukic L Popovic

If Harawira-Naera's de-registered, these guys should be too. The only thing that will stop them from being de-registered is the fact they're Aboriginal...

How many viewers do you think the NRL lost when allowing Matt Lodge to return? Proving that all these years of overreactions and mollycoddling was for nothing. We're just losing players for zero gain. Nobody is going to care if those dogs players were given a fine, or banned for life, so why ban them for life? A bunch of retards might shout about it in the media at the time and then it's all forgotten. Even Greenberg eventually apologised to Pearce for the over the top reaction to him humping the dog, yet they change nothing and keep doing it.

That's just not true though is it. I agree that in the past decade the pandering to the politically correct has become tiresome (no more so than the "no fault stand down policy") but at the same time pretending that it all gets forgotten and there's no foul simply isn't true.

It cost the Bulldogs a 2 million dollar sponsorship. When you say it's all forgotten who at the Bulldogs do you think is forgetting about that when they ran out in Round 1 with a blank jersey?

Well how long will it take them to get a new sponsor? Seems like the sponsors use these things as free brand name recognition, their name gets mass reported in the media when they say they're leaving over it, then they switch that marketing elsewhere, meanwhile another company then comes when the drama has settled down and takes that sponsorship. There's only so many nrl teams but there's a tonne of companies, if they're getting viewers then they will always get sponsors.

We're already talking about getting Folau back and I reckon any company would love to have their name blazoned on his jersey if that ever happened because he will attract viewers and media coverage and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

It's incredibly hard to secure major sponsors in Sydney for NRL sides especially if your organisation has been linked to something controversial recently.

As to your question of how long it will take them to find a new primary sponsor, it's now 10 months and counting...

Viewership is not and never will be the issue, controversy if anything seems to fuel viewership. But there are severe commercial implications to controversial incidents.

what why'd they lose their sponsor? the highschool sex thing was just the other month. and obvs if they lowered their asking price they could find a sponsor tomorrow

They lost their sponsor as a direct result of the 'scandal' being dicussed. Rashay's were set to announce the deal and had signed on as a $2 million major sponsor and cut ties as soon as the Bulldogs let them know about the issue/investigation. The club had already greenlit the run of jerseys to be produced with the sponsor on the front the day before.

They hadn't had a sponsor since last season as their old sponsor KIA had very quickly outgrown them with their success in recent years so they propped up the big bucks to sponsor Brisbane.

    McCullough --> Knights
    Should improve them Tbh.

I think the signing is "fair enough" given Brailey did his ACL, but he's a really bad fit for Pearce IMO.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

It's a signing that improves both clubs.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

I'm not that sure it improves Newcastle. It's a fair enough punt though.

Apparently Te'o will sign with the Broncos.

Will make or break them. They've needed a proper hooker for a while now. If it doesn't work out much of that rebuilding will be for nothing because they will probably persist for a couple of years and by that time Pearce will be closer to retirement so they'll be close to having to start over again. If it does work though they can compete for the premiership. I think if Ponga comes in at first receiver more it could work.

They had Brailey but he tore his acl.
