    Geez that rule sucks, it's applied consistently so I have no issues with it but refs just need to make a call on it. Either a player is making a tackle or they're playing at the ball.

    If you're going to apply benefit of the doubt surely it goes to the defender, not the attacker.

    Bludger of a set from Brisbane, Lodge looked offside taking that ball off Milford.

    Mbye's been really disappointing. He hasn't been put in good positions and our backline movements are fucking garbage, but I still expected a lot more out of him as a secondary playmaker.

    Reynolds has been great these past two weeks - we know what he is and his limitations, but between his effort and experience we're getting a good return. Likewise with Farah too.

    Brooks = glorified Daniel Mortimer.

    I don't know what to really think of us this year. I think we're pretty good and should make the 8, but we'll get done in big games like we did vs. Penrith because our spine just isn't up to scratch and Marsters is a pretty shit kicker.

    Mbye looks like he's carrying an injury, the way David Fifita just strolled past him in the chase for his own kick on that no try was damning.

    I just think it's an average squad of players with with top tier earners being extremely over paid meaning there's a real lack of class or point of difference in their spine/outside backs.

    I'll never understand coaches infatuation with putting your Ponga's and Milfords in the halves at a young age. It's different when they're in their late 20's and losing a step of pace and agility, but they're such damaging runners from fullback when they can chime in here and there.

    Especially when these are the very same coaches who play essentially with a dominant halfback and a support halfback, or split halves. The position of five-eighth has more in common with the traditional 7 role than the traditional 6 role these days.

    Moving Ponga and Milford is misguided though understandable. Moving Wighton anywhere but to park football is not.

    Geez, we just can't hold the ball this season. We've must have blown more "sure thing" tries than we've actually scored.
    McCullough and Milford are so disappointing, especially that last set. No way I'd be retaining Milford on his current money after his contract is up. It's a fucking shame all the QLD Cup guys are too young or even more mediocre.
    Jack Bird was terrible too, he must have blown a try in just about every game he's played this year. His defence was probably the worst in the side.

    On a positive note, Haas was insane, up until the last Tiggers try, where he and Bird just let Chee-Kam go right between them. He doesn't seem anywhere as dumb or loose as TPJ either.
    I thought Carrigan was really impressive in his 13 or 14 minutes on the field. He seems hard to bring down, no tackles missed either, always looking for work. I hope to see him start eventually.

    How did the Tigers only score two tries (and only off kicks) against this Penrith outfit? Their defence is horrendous. Literally any shape to the attack and they are walking through.
