For the highest level I don't see much difference in production quality. There's still a few things I don't care for but I enjoy it far more on the whole, plus actually competitive australian players (even if no competitive teams)
That's pretty cool that there are some competitive players from Australia now. Are any of them considered really good in the scene? I'm not against giving dota2 a shot again, but it would definitely be like learning from fresh again because I haven't played in a very long time. I quit shortly after Pitlord was released and have no clue on any changes to the game since outside of Monkey King being released, some new map and item stuff and a skill tree. That being said, I don't know if I could ever get into dota2 like I used to. I can try to play again, but it would be too much effort to be addicted like before :P
Ana on OG has won 2 majors this year (Gets shat on a bit by fans for bad laning but often gets sacrificed in laning and has plays amazingly mid-late game), Kpii was always around at a high level Skill tree was definitely an improvement though it took a while to get the balance in check (release skilltree hero-based Lone Druid and magic damage Ember were particularly bad offenders) but it opens up options and's a better system than stats IMO. Game hasn't changed too much though.
I think that LoL continues to be a game best played with friends. A lot of my RL friends still play, so I still play. I'm not even sure I would play if I didn't get so in to it as an esport. TSM!
It's changed a fair bit since he last watched hasn't it? Especially if what he last saw was the old map.
Last map changes I saw were way back in patch 6.87 which was over a year ago. It's crazy to think that so much can change in that period of time.
Anyone watching worlds? SKT vs RNG was pretty good tonight. After this series I honestly don't think anyone will beat SKT.
At this point I'd definitely beat on SSG over SKT head to head, one's struggled in every bo5 the other 3-0ed the tournament favourites.
You got it right. Another sweep from SSG. I did not see that coming, but head to head SSG were too strong for SKT in the end. Sad to see Faker upset after the series but I'm happy for SSG.
Not sure how I feel about the new rewards system though. Haven't played enough games yet to judge it properly but I've heard a lot of complaints about it being like a poorly-implemented HotS system.
The new runes make everyone in the game a little less tanky early and give more damage. It is such an odd learning curve to be playing without armor runes.
