Gary Neville appointed as Valencia's new manager. Did not see that coming.

The guy who owns Valencia has a stake in Salford City with all the class of 92 lot, hence why Phil ended up there as assistant in the summer.

    Peter Lim

    He owns 50% of Salford

Not sure how Neville will cope with Jorge Mendes pretty much running the club. It'll be interesting to see how he copes. Just don't appoint Henry for his role on MNF

is he still going to be involved with England?

  8. cpr CP Raftery

Yeah, he'll still be involved with England, probably just leave Phil to it during the international breaks<script async="" src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

So Ancelotti to Bayer Muchen. Sooo Pep Guardiola to Chelsea, Man Utd or Real Madrid??

The Gladbach game yesterday was fantastic.

1-0 down and then Xhaka gets himself sent off for a needless kick out after 40 mins. Yet somehow win the game 3-2 with Wendt scoring in the last 5 mins.

They were here bottom after losing the first 5 games and now in the top 4 in time for the winter break. What a turn around

The structure at City seems to have beeb set up for Guardiola to be the final piece. However i did hear an interview with a spanish football correpsondent who had good sources close to Guardiola. It was his opinion that Pep has wanted to manage United since failing to secure a transfer in his playing career and his drean plan after leaving Bayern is to join United then take over Brazil for the wc in 2022.

I think the timing of it all works really well with the latter - he declares his intention to leave as LVG comes under increased pressure and i really do believe wel have a new manager come next august. However i have to agree that everything points to him replacing Pellegrini at the end of the season.

I just hope we dont get Mourinho. He would just be a younger version of LvG, wont be a long term appointee and wont improve our style. I wanted Ancelotti but he seens set on Munich

There's a similar story with regards to Wenger nearly signing Pep though and the whole football-philosophy thing.

resigned to him going to City though
