He lifted him up past the horizontal and dropped him on his head/neck. Whether you think in a ideal world that should be a red can be debated but any ref would have done the same thing. Kuridrani got a red for this which wasn't as bad.

We definitely need to have the bottom two teams in each group play a knockout competition as well. That would make so much sense.

That was a spear... yellow is fair... red might be a bit harsh.

What about the team that gets third?

I paid like $450 for 3 Cat C tickets in 2011 to the ABs v Canada. Something you have to do though.

Ouch. My mate paid £175 for cat A seats for the Namibia game and refused to be reimbursed. WAG

    Yep let's get this done.

I'll have a sleep first though.

Can't see Georgia pushing us too hard but they'll be physical and as long as they don't break DC it'll be fine.
Actually I'd kinda like to see Lima in the squad...

    At the expense of Carter?!

    No thanks.

  16. Starris ER Starris

    Nah not serious.

I think it would of been good to give him some expexperience on this stage even if just a couple of lowely pool games.

Such a strong looking AB side on paper.

Great to see all our big guns like Read, the Smiths, Naholo, SBW, Carter and McCaw all starting.

Will be my debut at the Millenium Stadium too. Can't wait. Got to work at 7.30am so I can leave at 3pm for the drive to Cardiff.

10 things you need to know about Georgia:

1 - The nickname Lelos comes from lelo burti, a traditional Georgian sport similar to rugby which goes back to pagan times.

2 - The team's emblem is called a borjgali, a symbol of the sun with seven rotating wings. A Christian symbol in means eternal movement and life.

3 - Their largest win is a 98-3 thrashing of the Czech Republic in 2007 while the biggest defeat is 84-6, at the hands of England at the 2003 World Cup.

    4-Georgia have a 61.53% win record - 109 from 182. That's better than Group A's Grim Reaper trio of England (57.39%), Wales (53.83%) and Australia (52.65%)

5- Possibly a hint that they favour forward-play...Georgia's top tryscorer of all time is giant loosie Mamuka Gorgodze who had scored 25. He's actually fifth on their all-time points-scoring list.

6- Georgia's most notable wins were against Samoa in Tbilisi in 2013 (16-15) along with another home win against Japan (35-25) last year.

7 - The All Blacks have Eden Park and Georgia have the National Stadium in Tbilisi where they have a formidable record going 21 straight tests without defeat between 2004 and 2012.

8- The All Blacks have famously never lost to Scotland, Ireland and Argentina while Georgia can say the same about rivals Ukraine (9-0), Czech Republic (8-0), Germany (4-0)

9- They have been at war with Russia on a number of occasions but Georgia own them on the rugby field having won 17 of their 19 encounters since 1993.

10- For Georgia's 23-man squad to face the All Blacks, every forward has an overseas contact, while the majority of the backs play at Georgian clubs.

Strong attacking AB side for todays game. Should be good to watch.

    Interesting!

They should start inviting the better teams to test themselves...

They have a great record because they only play the top ranked teams every 4 years.

The IRB should really get the odd game between the lower nations and the higher... it's the only way to progress them.
They seem to have better coaches and we don't get cricket scores but there's nothing like playing better teams on a regular basis.
