As in, in the midfield two?

That's fucking retarded imo. You really want both of them as far as possible forward, but I can also see that one of them would have to sacrifice playing further back if they both want to be accommodated. Ramsey for me especially needs to play as far forward as possible - he has a knack for scoring these insane goals at the worst possible angles and is so good from that right hand side. I would have played him on the right with Ozil central and Sanchez left obv feeding Giroud. The Coq deserves his spot and Cazorla can then slot in next to him.

Such an amazing performance last night, hoping we can take this form into the early parts of the season and really send a message out that we're serious now.

Another win against Wolfsburg, looking good.

Highest Emirates Cup points tally ever. No goals conceded, seven goals scored by seven different people. We're going to win the fucking treble.

Haha, slow down there Tiger. :p

I know, Barclays Asia Trophy, Emirates Cup and Community Shield. So pumped.

Pretty happy with that UCL draw. Hoping we can get through to the quarters or even semis this year! Would be nice to do well in Europe.

    striker depth is a worry.

I'm more worried about wtf happens if Coquelin is injured.

I don't have any doubts about Arteta's ability to fill in there. He's obviously a different sort of player, but I think he's very valuable.

Striker-wise, I think Giroud is a great player, but yes, there's always going to be those doubts about his ability. Walcott's certainly not the answer

Main worry about Arteta is fitness and whether he can still move properly following a 6/7 month injury at his age. He's looked pretty good when he's come on as a sub though.

Surely Arsenal have to be looking for a striker in January. One injury more and they are looking up shit creek. If they end up relying on Walcott, the situation will be dire.

You'd hope so, they look quite shallow in that area. I'd say they should also look at a back up for Coq. He really anchors the mid and with him gone i feel like Arsenals CHs will be exposed.

  15. Jager LO Townsend

It's pretty fruitless searching for a top quality striker in January though - most teams aren't willing to trade their prize asset midway through a season naturally, and the way we handle our transfer business (e.g not bullying our way to getting our man like Chelski etc.) means we're probably not gonna have that extra chance of doing it.

  16. BigDougy DG Dafter

Yeah, the January window is full of mercenaries!

  17. Jager LO Townsend

After two years of ardently advocating Giroud's qualities, I think I'm finally done with him now. The final straw was the pathetic red card against Zagreb. Thoughts?

  18. Jager LO Townsend

The irony in me lamenting Giroud's performances and antics is that I also loathe the fact we're seemingly incapable of shooting first time in the box - Giroud is actually most likely to do so

  19. Cabinet96 OTN Wood

He's a great sub though. I look forward to that being his role for a couple of months.

Sanchez back in form, now Arsenal can kick on.
