2 through to 14 massively impressive. I personally reckon Broadhurst was the best lock in NZ this season with Brodie Retallick and Sam Whitelock narrowly behind. The man's work rate is something spectacular. Ardie and Shields punch way above the level they are credited for and Nehe M'Boy Skudder has proven his quality by being included in a preliminary AB squad. The rest speak for themselves being proven AB's.

You mean 1 through to 15....Reg Goodes has been pretty decent tbh. He won't be far off AB duties in future years. Marshall has been amazingly solid as well. Stepping in and starting at 10 when Barrett's been out fantastically and playing solid at 15 as well. Couldn't ask anything more from the bloke. If you saw his game against the Chiefs at 10 recently, he was one main factor in that win.

Agree about Broadhurst, he's been amazing although Retallick's end of season form is hard to beat. I'm still saying James is the 3rd best lock in NZ atm but if he continues like he has for the ABs he could become the best. Yep Ardie and Shields have been awesome. Ardie more so but Shields is finally showing the class he was a few seasons ago when I was calling for him to he a bolter for the black jersey. Same is now applying to Ardie (as you can tell by my avatar).

Yeah as predicted (I said Nehe would be one to watch before the season) and I have not looked like an idiot saying it. He's a real asset. Really can't fault many in our squad. Even Otere Black stepped in well when needed (probably wasn't expecting to start 2 games before the season).

Big night tonight boys. I'll be at a 50th so will definitely be watching it live but won't be in and aroubd here. Will definitely be around here come the 2nd semi. Go Canes! !!

    Yeah go the Canes.

should be too strong for the brumbies.

  5. Rego RS Hutchinson

Yeah Brumbies not looking like scoring a try tbh. Too strong for them.

  6. Starris ER Starris

So far so good. Could be more points if not for a heap of knock ons.

I am one happy man!!!! It's been a long time coming (a home final) it's been tough at times supporting my boys but gee I'm so happy!!!! As expected we were just too strong for the Brumbies. They literally had to defend us for very long periods of time and tbh a lil lucky we didn't put more than 29 points on us. They never looked like scoring a try tbh and they didn't.

I'll be getting my tickets for the final as soon as they go on sale!!!!

Highlanders need to stop these box kicks to Folau - it's obvious they're trying for a territory game though and for the most part they're winning the territory battle. Nice try from Smith there, Landers in the lead 8-5.

    Amazing try by Naholo!!!!

Yay all NZ final :) I'll be there supporting the Canes. New winner this year. Tahs have just been fucking poor. Their lineout has been atrocious.

    Landers. Glorious. That is all.

Stoked... hopefully they don't destroy each other for the RWC.

Should be a cracking final... Go Canes but don't care too much who wins - I like em both!

Anyone else notice how the first six scrums in the canes game resulted in five penalties lol

  14. Rego RS Hutchinson

Well the Brumbies have one of the weaker scrums in the comp, Canes with one of the stronger. I know not all went our way but it was clear that we were targeting it.

  15. Rego RS Hutchinson

    I like.

Tickets on sale in 12 mins, let's hope I get some!!

That was stressful.....had tickets in my basket, go through to payment, then the site must have crashed when it was processing my payment (just kept flicking) had 45 seconds left (until the basket expired) went re through and payment went through. Thank fuck. Finals here I come!!!!!!

People still unable to get into the site.....apparently from 3:30pm onwards - luckily I was in at like 3pm and had the tab open. Fuck I'm so lucky. Would have been gutted if I missed out or had to pay some ridiculous price to scalpers.

    Nice! Ought to be epic.

We should be in for some good running rugby, can't wait.

Marshall starting at FB :( have to feel it's because Barrett's hip may not let him goal kick - Proctor on the bench, Jane out with Milner-Skudder fit, Ardie hit and miss. So it's not all bad I guess.

Hurricanes: James Marshall, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Conrad Smith (c ), Ma'a Nonu, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara, Victor Vito, Ardie Savea/Callum Gibbins, Brad Shields, James Broadhurst, Jeremy Thrush, Ben Franks, Dane Coles, Reggie Goodes. Reserves: Motu Matu'u, Chris Eves, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, Callum Gibbins/Mark Abbott, Blade Thomson, Chris Smylie, Rey Lee-Lo, Matt Proctor.
