Would be keen for Jan-Berrie Burger too.

Yeah Khurram Khan definitely should've bene picked. Might just about make a 40yo+ World XI these days.

  3. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Might have to start thinking about a line-up here, perhaps?

Distinctly more Marshall twin than I was expecting.

If he can't open, he ain't playing. I need a backup opener to do the hard NZ style yards of hanging around for 60 balls whilst scoring no runs. Take the shine off etc.

  7. Athlai JJD Heads

    So you need Tim McIntosh?

  8. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Naman Ojha with a nice ton today for India A against a reasonable looking Australia A bowling attack.

  9. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

219 not out and 100 not out. All at a strike rate of over 70.

Pretty decent stuff from the man.

  10. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Ojha with a third ton against Australia A (though at least he was dismissed this time around)

My team has probably got much shitter. Pujara and Stokes have gone down the bleedin' gurgler, and they were my first picks. Brathwaite, Ojha and Babar should have improved, but not enough to offset.

To be perfectly frank, this series should be simmed based on the averages at the time anyway. Not that I'm sure it'll get simmed anyway.

  12. Phlegm SP Phlegm

It will I reckon. Cribb said to pick for now and not on potential.

  13. Athlai JJD Heads

Braithwaite is now a brilliant pick, but yeah not sure if it offsets the others.

Great reading through this and taking down Phlegm's bullshit and his team of chumps part way through.

    Bruno FTW.

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to clarify my post about ODIs counting but domestic one day games not.

Any List A game between two full, associate or affiliate members of the ICC counts, regardless of whether or not the ICC gave the games ODI status. I've figured out a fairly accurate (IMO) way to rate the standard of all these teams and considered these "ODIs".

So that might help you find some extra decent associates.

Got a few guys in mind already. None so obvious as Snyman was last time around, but there’s some decent proper associate players out there.

Personally I think Taylor's been undervalued. Still churning out the runs in ODIs. Twin-tons in his last Test match. Quality player. Should probably give him the gloves ahead of Hope. Worst thing about Taylor is his cricinfo profile pic.

That’s a long tail. Bess is bowler 5 no?

I don't think it's a long tail for this level. Kumar, Bess and Frylinck can all bat. Probably 3 number 8s there, really.

And yes, Bess should be bowler 5.
