At some point over the next 48 hours, I will be upgrading the forum software. This could mean the forum is down for several hours, and it could also mean it won't look quite right for several hours after that while I update the skin.

Anyone else getting ad popups on cricsim.com?

At 1st I assumed I had some adware shit so I ran some checks and didn't find diddly-squat.

Then I was getting them on multiple platforms: My 2 Lappys, work PC, S6 and Galaxytab.

So I install Firefox to see if it was some deep Chrome extension issue, nope, more pop-ups.

I thought I had some uber virus, however I checked on my wife's iPhone where she uses Safari, and I still got pop-ups.

Therefore I have a strong suspicion that there is a...

I'm interested in any ideas anyone has for how we can improve the place eg. the way the subforums are set out, the look of it etc etc.

I should stress though this is not a simming suggestions thread. Anyone who posts anything about the rate of simming or how any of the sims should be run will be infracted.

This is also a serious thread. Joke replies will be infracted.

As many of you noticed, yesterday I introduced user tagging. This works simply by using the @ character, followed by a user's username. So if I were to type @ Mousey without the space in between the @ and the M, it'd come out [MENTION=66]Mousey[/MENTION]. Moreover, it'd send Mousey a notification that someone mentioned him in this thread!

We've got a few threads like this but they're only kind vaguely relevant so I thought I'd start this up. I'll be making little changes to this and adding a couple of pages (including a page for selectors to name their lineups on, so I don't have copy/paste them from the lineups thread) so I'll keep you updated in here.

Heath has always done a great job of carrying this site on his back whenever I've been busy or need a break from simming and actively trying to improve the place, but with him gone and some other big-name members being less active, I think we need to make some changes to improve the experience of the forum. So what's the go with site issues ATM? Can't get on here via the usual having to use seasonalrugby.com via my phone however the normal frontpage worked for me using iPhone 6+ at work
